This is a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable sculpture. Geometric petal forms cascade down the length of the piece. The shapes in the necklace evoke line drawings of floral patterns and is a modern take on the statement necklace.

This necklace is handcrafted entirely out of 925 sterling silver. All of the chain is handmade as well as the sculptural components. Handmade chain means that I form each link from wire, link them together and soldered them individually closed. I then shape and hammer texture each link to work harden them and give them some texture and light reflection. Why make my own chain? Because you simply can't find machine manufactured chain that has the shape, thickness and variations of texture that I need in my design. This is quality, one of a kind chain. In this necklace design, the left hand side has a single chain and the right hand side has a double layered chain for a bit of modern asymmetry.

The focal point of the piece is fabricated from sterling silver sheet. The piece is finished with a black oxidized patina for a contemporary look.

The necklace is adjustable to a wide range. It can be worn long out to 24" for a bold look over a dress or under a blazer. It can also be adjusted to be a stunningly sculptural choker or collar. See photos for examples of the necklace being worn at different lengths.

This necklace is handcrafted by me in my little jewelry studio on Whidbey Island in the Pacific Northwest of the USA. I use time honored metalsmithing techniques to fabricate this necklace. All wire components are soldered closed for strength and quality. The necklace is crafted from 925 sterling silver right down to the unique and handmade clasp.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sterling Silver Care Instructions

Silver can tarnish over time. To slow the process, store your silver jewelry in an air tight container. Keep your silver jewelry clean of chemicals and oils by occasionally washing with warm soapy water. A polishing cloth can bring back the original brightness of the silver. For oxidized silver, a polishing cloth may be desired to highlight the piece while keeping recessed areas dark as intended. For silver oxidized to full black, no polishing is needed, simply wash the surface with soap or alcohol occasionally.

My brass jewelry is turning my skin green. What can I do?

Some people have strong reactions to brass and bronze, while others have no reaction at all. If you are susceptible to these reactions, purchasing Sterling Silver jewelry might be a better option.

How do I care for my coffee filter jewelry?

Coffee filter jewelry has a water resistant coating. It is durable enough to wear in the rain. To clean, it's best not to soak the paper, simply dust the surface with a dry cloth or brush and carefully wipe down the ear wires with water or alcohol.

How do I find my ring size?
